Interventional nerve blocks are targeted injections used to manage and diagnose pain by temporarily disrupting the transmission of nerve signals. We use ultrasound technology to identify the specific nerve causing the pain and inject medication into that area.
A caudal epidural injection involves injecting medication into the epidural space in the lower back through a small opening at the base of the spine. A steroid is injected into this space to reduce inflammation and help relieve lower back pain.
Ketamine infusions are used to treat certain chronic pain conditions, including neuropathic pain, fibromyalgia, and complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). They are also used in the treatment of mental health conditions, including treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, and PTSD. This treatment is administered through an IV in a monitored calming setting.
